In Boston, Schneider was a three-day a-week reporter on special assignments who reported on entertainment and lifestyle. She was the weekend weather forecaster at WFOR-TV Miami before joining WB56. She worked as a meteorologist and journalist for News 12 Long Island, a 24-hour television cable news network. WXII TV is the NBC affiliate of Winston-Salem located in North Carolina. Her other job was as occasionally a substitute for The Saturday Early Show in New York City for CBS.
